- Place sweet potatoes in a large saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender; drain. , Transfer to a large bowl and mash. Add the milk, brown sugar, butter, egg, cinnamon, vanilla, allspice, salt and nutmeg; beat until smooth., Transfer to a greased shallow 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until heated through. Top with marshmallows. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or just until marshmallows begin to puff and brown.

- In a large saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat. Add cheese; cook and stir until melted. , Place potatoes in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Pour sauce over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.

MAMA'S OLD FASHIONED POTATO SALAD | JUST A PINCH RECIPES
This is the way my mother and my grandmother always made their potato salad. A really nice side dish to go with BBQ! Not bad with fried chicken or for the holiday meals either.
I'm sure this basic recipe has be around forever. It's tried and true in our household and the only way our family eats potato salad.
