Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 9 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies will be soft. Cool slightly on cookie sheet; remove from sheet onto wire rack to cool completely.

- 1. HEAT oven to 375°F.
- 2. BEAT peanut butter and brown sugar in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg and water until blended. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt until evenly moistened. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll into 48 (1-inch) balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with fork in crisscross pattern.
- 3. BAKE 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
