2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed golden mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1 package (20 ounces) frozen crinkle-cut french fries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in soups. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. , Arrange french fries on top. Bake, uncovered, until the fries are golden brown, 50-55 minutes.

Kid-friendly and delicious! If you're a cheeseburger lover, and the thought of ground beef, tomatoes, pickles and cheese tickles your fancy, then this truly American, comforting Cheeseburger Casserole is for you!

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 cups 6 oz uncooked rotini pasta (use brown rice pasta for GF)
2 tsp olive oil
1 1/2 cups onions (finely chopped)
1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
1 lb lean ground beef (95% lean)
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp tomato paste
28 oz diced tomatoes
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
2 cups reduced-fat grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to the package directions for al dente and drain well.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-low heat. Add the onions and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the beef and cook until browned; season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, then add the tomatoes and mustard. Let the mixture bubble gently until it is slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • Toss the meat mixture with the pasta and spread it into the prepared dish.
  • Top with the cheddar and bake until the cheese is melted, about 15 minutes. Sprinkle the chopped pickles over the top and serve.

  • Make the casserole: Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until slightly softened, 2 minutes. Add ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook, breaking up meat with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, 8 minutes. Drain fat. Return skillet to medium-high heat. Add tomato paste and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add ⅓ cup water, relish, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir to combine.   Transfer hamburger mixture into a small rectangular baking dish. Spread into an even layer. Sprinkle with cheese. Remove crescent rolls from packaging and unroll on top of casserole, if necessary stretch slightly to reach sides to completely cover the casserole. Brush lightly with egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until warm throughout and top is golden, about 25 minutes.   Meanwhile, make the special sauce: In a medium bowl, stir all sauce ingredients together until well combined.  Drizzle casserole with special sauce and top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Serve warm.

Preheat oven to 350°. Pour glaze over buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake sandwiches as directed, increasing time by 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and a thermometer inserted in center reads 165°.
