EASY TEXAS TOAST RECIPE | KITCHN
Steps:
- Arrange a rack in the middle of oven, place a rimmed baking sheet on the rack to preheat, and heat the oven to 375°F.
- Melt the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl until completely melted, about 1 minute. Add the olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Set aside while you slice the bread.
- If unsliced, slice the bread into 1-inch-thick slices. Use a pastry or basting brush to coat both sides of each slice with the garlic butter.
- Place the bread on the preheated baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until golden-brown, about 12 minutes. Serve warm.

Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until mixture is thickened, 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally., Meanwhile, place Texas toast on a foil-lined 15x10x1-in. pan; bake until lightly browned, 8-10 minutes., Spoon beef mixture onto toast; top with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, 3-4 minutes. Serve immediately.
