MCDONALD'S HASH BROWN RECIPE - RED ONLINE
Here's how to make McDonald's hash browns at home using just two ingredients, as recreated by Michelin-starred chef Poppy O’Toole.

Steps:
- Start by grating the potato into very thin slices using a cheese grater and then pat down with a piece of paper towel. Transfer to a clean tea towel to get rid of any excess moisture. Put a little bit in at a time and squeeze the living life out of it. You’ll be surprised by how much juice you get out of it. Crack an egg over the dry grated potato and season with salt and pepper, before mixing. Give it a good old mush and get it shaped in your hand. Add it to a frying pan on a medium to low heat. Only flipping when it’s got its signature golden brown shade. At the end - tilt the pan so the hash brown is covered in hot oil for extra crispiness.

- Heat 1-inch of oil in a medium skillet over medium-high until oil reaches 300°F. Fry fish until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels, and sprinkle with salt. To serve, place 1/2 of a cheese slice on bottom on each bun, and top with a piece of fish. Spread 1 tablespoon of tartar sauce on each piece of fish; cover with top bun.
