1 ea earl grey K-cup
110 ml cup milk
1 tsp light brown sugar (or to taste)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp dried lavender flowers (or earl gray dry tea leaves for garnish)

Steps:

  • Touch the Power key of the Instant Pod coffee maker.
  • Fill the frother with 110ml milk. Place the lid onto the frother and press down to fully secure.
  • Select Light foam then press the Start button.
  • Open the top cover of the Instant Pod coffee maker. Insert a K-cup pod. Close the top cover.
  • Place your mug on the drip tray plate and add 1 tbsp vanilla syrup. Mix it well.
  • Select the 8oz option from the K-cup section.
  • When the water stops dripping, pour the foamed milk on top. Serve hot.

3 slices bacon
4 cups chicken broth
1 pound dried pinto beans, rinsed
1?½ cups water
½ cup chopped onions, or to taste
2 green chile peppers
1?¼ teaspoons garlic powder
1?¼ teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add bacon and cook, 4 to 6 minutes, turning once. Add chicken broth, pinto beans, water, onions, chile peppers, garlic powder, salt, chili powder, cumin, and paprika. Close and lock the lid.
  • Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 45 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  • Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, 10 to 40 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid. Remove bacon and chile peppers. Mash beans with a potato masher until they reach desired consistency.

  • Set Instant Pot to Sauté function and melt butter. Add onion and cook until soft, 5 minutes, then add garlic and thyme and cook until fragrant, 1 minute more. Add potatoes and broth and place lid on Instant Pot. Set to Pressure Cook on High and set time for 8 minutes. Once finished, turn valve to quick release.  In a small bowl whisk together 2 tablespoons milk and cornstarch to make a slurry.  Remove lid from Instant Pot and set to Sauté function again. Pour in slurry, remaining 1 cup milk, and heavy cream and let boil about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with cheddar, bacon, and chives before serving.
