We use this in the fall and push it in to the bark of the tree and then we rub bird seeds and fruits into it and the birds love it we have a couple ladder back hairy wood peckers that come around all the time for it.... we enjoy sitting in the back yard and watching them. we have gotten our camera out and taken pics of the birds while feeding at our different feeders...the ones I enjoy the most are the humming birds.

Ingredients

1 cup(s) lard
1 cup(s) peanut butter, creamy
1 cup(s) all purpose flour
4 cup(s) yellow cornmeal

Steps:

Mix and Serve This simple mix and serve treat attracts a lot of woodpeckers and other birds. Mix lard, peanut butter and flour. Then add cornmeal. Stir until it's the consistency of putty.
Press the mixture into the bark of trees or on your pinecone feeders, etc....then press bird seed and fruit into the tree incase of pinecone or such roll in bird seed and or fruit.

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark with Sea Salt is so easy to make, just 3 ingredients! It makes a great homemade holiday gift!

Ingredients

8 ounces Lily's sugar free dark chocolate baking bar* (from two 4 ounce bars)
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (I used Skippy)
a few pinches of coarse sea salt (such as Maldon)

Steps:

Line a small 9 x 13-inch sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Chop the chocolate with a knife. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, stirring the chocolate every 30 seconds to help avoid seizing. Once melted and smooth, set aside. This took me about 1 1/2 minutes, but will vary with every microwave.
Melt the peanut butter in the microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each increment, until completely smooth, about 4o seconds.
Pour chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading with a rubber spatula into a smooth layer.
Drizzle melted peanut butter mixture in parallel lines on top of chocolate. Run a toothpick or knife through to form swirls.
Top with a pinch or two of coarse sea salt.
Allow the bark to set completely in the refrigerator, about 30 minutes.
Once hardened, break into pieces as large or as small as you want.
Keep bark stored in an airtight container refrigerated or in a in a cool, dry place for up to 1 week.

In a microwave, melt white chocolate at 70% power; stir until smooth. Stir in 1/3 cup crushed candies. Repeat with chocolate chips and an additional 1/3 cup candies. Alternately drop spoonfuls of chocolate and white chocolate mixtures onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet., Using a metal spatula, cut through candy to swirl and spread to 1/4-in. thickness. Sprinkle with remaining crushed candies., Refrigerate until firm. Break into pieces. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container.
