16 cups popped popcorn
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup red cinnamon candies
1/4 cup baking soda
2 tablespoons green candy sprinkles

Steps:

  • Place popped popcorn in a large bowl and set aside. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon candies. Bring to a boil and continue boiling until candy is dissolved, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 3 more minutes then remove from heat and stir in baking soda.
  • Pour over popcorn, mixing until evenly coated. Spread onto baking sheets and sprinkle immediately with green sprinkles; let cool.
  • Break apart and store in airtight containers or cellophane gift bags.

8 quarts plain popped popcorn (not microwave)
1 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup (not dark it will effect the color)
1 (9 ounce) package red-hot candies

Steps:

  • Place popcorn in a large bowl (I used my tupperware that's a bowl make sure bowl is large enough to hold all the popcorn) set aside.
  • In a non stick saucepan, combine butter, corn syrup and candies; bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Pour over popcorn and mix thoroughly (be careful very hot) Turn into two greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pans.
  • Bake at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from pans and place on waxed paper to cool.
  • Break apart and store in air tight containers.
