This Salmon Party Log is a great appetizer for any get-together. All the ingredients come together quickly and because there is no cooking involved, you can prepare it and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Provided by Paula Braswell , Marietta, GA

Yield Makes about 3 cups

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 16-oz. can salmon, drained and flaked
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
2 teaspoons onion, grated
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
water crackers

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients except pecans, parsley and crackers in a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly; shape into a log.
  • Place pecans and parsley on wax paper; roll log in mixture until coated.
  • Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Serve with crackers.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 can (7-1/2 ounces) pink salmon, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet red pepper
2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, optional
Finely chopped pecans or additional parsley
Crackers

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the first eight ingredients; stir until well blended. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours. Transfer to a serving bowl; if desired, sprinkle with pecans or parsley. Serve with crackers.
