1 baguette, sliced
1/4 cup Renieris Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml)

Steps:

  • We bake these crisp little toasts in advance so when guests drop by or we want an impromptu snack, we can quickly assemble them with any topping we have on hand. Here are a few suggestions to try. For the toasts: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice a baguette or other crusty bread into small rounds or other shapes. Arrange the bread on a baking sheet, brush with extra-virgin olive oil, and toast in the oven, turning once, until browned on both sides, about 10 minutes. Store them in airtight containers, letting them first cool completely. Combinations we love:

1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
? cup butter
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon seasoning salt
1 (12 ounce) package English muffins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to broil.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine crabmeat, butter or margarine, mayonnaise, garlic salt, and seasoning salt. Spread this mixture on the open-face muffins. Arrange the toasts on a baking sheet.
  • Broil toasts for 8 minutes or until toasted. Be careful not to burn them.
