1 Cup orange juice
1 packet Jell-O
.5 Cup tequila
.5 Cup orange juice, chilled

Steps:

Combine the boiling orange juice and the cherry Jell-O, and stir until fully dissolved.
Add the tequila and remaining orange juice and mix thoroughly.
Pour the mixture into plastic shot glasses and refrigerate until set (about 2.5 hours).

I had to make hundreds of Jell-O® shots for a wedding, so I decided to have fun with them and try out some new mixes. This was my margarita-flavored shot, a bit strong but good if you want variety with your selection. If you want them more palatable, substitute water for a bit of the alcohol.

Ingredients

1 cup boiling water
1 (3 ounce) package lime-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
? cup tequila
? cup triple sec
? cup water
15 plastic shot glasses, or as needed

Steps:

Combine boiling water and gelatin mix in a bowl. Stir to dissolve. Add tequila, triple sec, and water. Stir again.
Pour mixture into shot glasses. Refrigerate until set, about 5 hours.

Halve oranges and use a spoon to hollow out the fruit. Scoop the flesh into a wire-mesh strainer set over a bowl to drain the juice until you have 6 ounces fresh orange juice. Set hollowed orange halves in a muffin tin. In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together 2 ounces orange juice, grenadine and maraschino cherry juice. Add one pack gelatin and let bloom 30 seconds, then whisk to dissolve. Pour mixture into orange halves and refrigerate until slightly firm, 30 minutes. Rinse saucepan and add remaining 4 ounces orange juice and remaining pack gelatin. Stir until dissolved, then remove from heat and stir in tequila. Pour mixture on top of first layer in oranges and transfer to the fridge to fully set, about 4 hours. Slice into wedges and serve.
