WALMART SUGAR COOKIES | JUST A PINCH RECIPES

Walmart Sugar Cookies | Just A Pinch Recipes image

Lofthouse Sugar cookies are those soft cake like sugar cookies you find at Walmart store frosted with a sweet bright buttercream. My daughter always wants me to buy them and they are good. Over time I've worked with a few different recipes that pretty much taste the same and this is the one I ended up with. It's a soft cake like sugar cookie with yummy frosting and you can shape these anyway you like and decorate them how you like. Enjoy! Picture is of prepackaged cookies.

  • Sprinkle surface where you will roll out dough with powdered sugar. Remove 1 wrapped pack of dough from refrigerator at a time, sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar, and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick. Move the dough around and check underneath frequently to make sure it is not sticking. If dough has warmed during rolling, place cold cookie sheet on top for 10 minutes to chill. Cut into desired shape, place at least 1-inch apart on greased baking sheet, parchment, or silicone baking mat, and bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges, rotating cookie sheet halfway through baking time. CLASSIC SUGAR COOKIES RECIPE - BETTYCROCKER.COM
We consider this the best sugar cookie recipe out there—because it's the kind your grandma or even great-grandma would recognize. Baking sugar cookies from scratch is a time-honored tradition, after all! With a tender, short texture that comes from a good buttery base, these cookies break with just the right balance of bend and snap. And the taste? Perfection. But when it comes to the perfect sugar cookie recipe, there's one more crucial factor: how easy your cookies are to decorate. We've come up with a simple glaze that's easily tintable, covers smoothly and dries firmly so that you can stack your finished cut-out sugar cookies without fear of smudging them. However you choose to decorate them, dress these Christmas sugar cookies up in holiday style, and they'll be the star of every festive gathering.

CHEWY EARL GREY SUGAR COOKIES RECIPE - NYT COOKING
Floral and citrusy Earl Grey tea livens up these chewy sugar cookies. Instead of adding the leaves to the dough, the tea is steeped in melted butter for maximum flavor. If you are using loose leaf tea instead of tea from bags, use a mortar and pestle or spice grinder to finely grind it before adding it to the butter. Try adding a handful of chopped chocolate shards to the dough to make these cookies even more special.
