Number Of Ingredients 15

1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon canola oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
DIPPING SAUCE:
3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon orange juice
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons honey
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat the first five ingredients for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add Shrimp and onions; stir-fry for 4-5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Combine sauce ingredients; serve with shrimp.

If you like shrimp, this spicy grilled shrimp recipe will be your new favorite. It's easy, fast and delicious! The subtle spice of the cayenne is balanced by the creamy feta sauce. If you want to tame the heat, you can cut the cayenne in half or skip it completely.

1?½ teaspoons minced garlic
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
5 teaspoons lemon juice, divided
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon ground pepper, divided
1?¼ pounds medium peeled, deveined raw shrimp, tail on
¼ cup plain whole-milk Greek yogurt
¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to high (450°F to 500°F). Place minced garlic on a cutting board; sprinkle with salt. Using the flat side of a knife, mash the salt into the garlic to make a paste. Transfer the garlic paste to a large bowl; stir in 2 tablespoons oil, lemon zest, 3 teaspoons lemon juice, paprika, oregano, cayenne and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Fold in shrimp until fully coated. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine yogurt, feta, water and the remaining 1 tablespoon oil, 2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a medium bowl.
  • Thread the shrimp evenly onto 8 (6-inch) skewers. Oil the grill rack by holding an oil-soaked paper towel with tongs (do not use cooking spray on a hot grill). Place the skewers on the oiled rack; grill, uncovered, until opaque and lightly charred, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Serve with the dipping sauce.
