This easy-to-prepare mousse gets its stability from cream cheese. Try with a different extract and add a few drops of food color to get a mousse with fruity or minty flavors.

Ingredients

4 oz (1/2 package) cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sugar divided
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 tbsp McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

Steps:

Beat cream cheese and 1/4 cup of the sugar in large bowl until smooth and creamy.
Beat heavy cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Add 1/2 of the whipped cream mixture to cream cheese mixture; stir until well blended. Gently stir in remaining whipped cream mixture. Cover.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 ¼ cups confectioners' sugar
4 drops yellow food coloring

Steps:

Beat cream cheese and butter in a bowl until combined. Beat in powdered sugar and lemon juice.
Beat in 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 cups more of powdered sugar till frosting is of spreading consistency. Stir in a few drops of yellow food coloring.
