Steps:
- Bring the water to a boil in the pot. Add the onion and garlic.
- Boil for five minutes or so.
- Remove from the heat.
- Let the mixture sit for 8-12 hours.
- Strain the liquid into a spray bottle and add the salt.
- Shake to dissolve the salt.
- Spray any area of the yard where you want to deter snake activity.

This is such a tasty curry and as far as I am concerned, the best way to deal with the unusual flavour that a snake (yard-long) bean has. When selecting snake beans, choose ones that are nice and stiff with the seeds tightly held in the skin. You should also look for a lovely purple tip on the ends of the beans.

Steps:
- Toss the beans in a bowl with all the ingredients except the oil and coconut cream. Heat the oil in a heavy-based frying pan over high heat until the oil just begins to smoke. Add the bean mixture and stir for 5 minutes, then add the coconut cream, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the cream has reduced by half. Remove from the heat and season to taste with salt.

Turn the heat off and let the water steep for a few hours or overnight. Carefully pour the water into a spray bottle and addthe salt. Shake the spray bottle to mix the ingredients. Spray the mixture around the perimeter of your yard or in any cracks or holes you may be worried about hiding snakes.

Add the remaining 1/3rd of batter on top then join the two sides together. Add the topping to both sides or leave plain to differentiate it.
