1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Thin Crust Pizza Crust
3/4 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
1 1/2 cups thinly sliced red bell pepper
1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium heat. Cut 14 x14-inch piece of heavy duty foil; spray foil with cooking spray. Place dough on foil; starting at center, press dough to 12-inch round. Place dough on grill, foil side down. Cook, uncovered, 3 minutes or until bottom of crust is light golden brown. Remove from grill.
  • Using wide spatula, flip crust over on foil so uncooked side is down. Spread pizza sauce evenly over crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Arrange bell peppers and onions over cheese; sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.
  • Place pizza onto grill, foil side down. Cook, covered, an aditional 3 to 4 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese begins to melt.

poblano pepper, halved and thinly sliced

small jalapeño, halved and thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 500°F (if you can’t heat the oven this high without broiling, heat to 475°F). On a lightly floured surface, shape the pizza dough into a 14-in. oval. Place on a cornmeal-dusted or parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle Cheddar over top.  In a large bowl, toss onion and peppers with olive oil and 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper. Scatter over dough and bake until the crust is golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
