1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup prepared Italian salad dressing
1 pound ground beef
4 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine onion and salad dressing. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties. , Broil, grill or pan-fry for 4-6 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink. Serve on buns.

4 medium onions, sliced
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
4 hamburger buns, toasted
4 slices tomatoes
lettuce leaf

Steps:

  • Cook onions and sugar in hot oil over low heat 20 to 25 minutes until onion is caramelized, stirring often. Stir in the 1/4 cup water, vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Combine beef, parsley, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Grill over medium-hot heat until beef is no longer pink.
  • Serve on buns with caramelized onions, tomato slices and lettuce.
