- Salt the rims of 8 glasses. To do so, pour salt onto a small plate, rub the rims of the glasses with lime, and press them into the salt. Fill the glasses with ice.
- In a blender, combine sweet and sour mix, triple sec, tequila and Grand Marnier. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, squeeze a quarter lime into each glass, and serve.

- The first thing you'll need to do to prepare this margarita on the rocks is to pour the coarse salt on a clean working surface, use a wedge of lime to run it around the rim of the glass and then dip it in the salt so it sticks to it.
- Next, fill the glass two thirds of the way with the crushed ice. If you haven't got any, you can crush normal ice with a blender or similar.
- Mix the tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice and Cointreau well in a cocktail shaker.
- Pour the mix over the ice in your glass. To give it the finishing touch, add a wedge of lime to the side of the glass. Now you can enjoy your perfect margarita on the rocks!
