1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Thin Crust Pizza Crust
1/3 cup basil pesto sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
2 cups shredded deli rotisserie chicken
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup quartered grape tomatoes
1/3 cup sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F. Spray 15x10x1-inch pan with cooking spray. Unroll dough in pan; press evenly to edges of pan. Bake 6 minutes.
  • Spread pesto sauce onto partially baked crust; top with 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, the chicken, pepper and remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and crust is deep golden brown.
  • Top with grape tomatoes and green onions.

Deliciously cheesy and savory garlic pesto flatbread topped with seared sausage, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes. This is a quick and convenient appetizer recipe that your friends and family will enjoy!

1 package of al fresco Sundried Tomato Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage
1 cup homemade pesto
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into 1/4 inch thick slices
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes or thinly sliced fresh tomatoes*
optional: crushed red pepper flakes
1 pack of Roman’s sandwich naan bread

Steps:

  • Drizzle or brush each flatbread square with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil.
  • Spread about 2 tablespoons of pesto on each then top with mozzarella, tomatoes, and finish with sausage. (Reserve remaining pesto for topping.)
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the crust and toppings are browned to your liking.
  • Remove from the oven and spoon remaining pesto on top. If desired, finish with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper. Slice and serve warm.
