CANDY BUFFET RECIPES

Steps:

• My day job is writing "How To" books so I thought I would share a few of my food related projects with you. Setting up a candy buffet is really not that hard. Candy is eye appealing itself so you are just going to add to the color.
• Find a table or counter area for your display. Then put your tablecloth down. I suggest a bright red, blue or white color. Now to fill your containers with candy. But wait....don't go out and buy them. You would be surprised how many you have in your house already. Start digging through the cupboards looking for jars, vases, bowls. etc. Fill the containers with assorted candies, one style per container.
• Type signs on your computer to label the type of candy. You can use cute clips to attach to the containers, or add a hole punch in the corner and tie ribbon through. Then simply use tape to attach. Place curling ribbon bundles like you would buy to wrap a present or gift bag, around the containers for color. Clear plastic spoons are great for dispensing candy. Set out boxes or bags for your guests to fill with the assorted candy. You can add the large lollipops in the center of vases to add to the eye appealing display. TIP: Utilize what you have in your kitchen first. Then consider your local second hand store. I picked up some unique old ice cream shop jars for $.25 each. Lastly, consider the Dollar Store for your spoons, bags, tablecloth, etc. You will save a lot of money. This buffet averages $25.00 when doing it yourself. It can be hundreds of dollars if you hire it done.
