The best beef and egg noodles you'll ever have. Affordable, quick, and yummy! I have to give credit to my grandma. She used to cook this for her 5 kids and then later for all her grandkids.

Steps:
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat; cook steak, working in batches, until seared and browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer seared steak to a plate.
- Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat and saute onion until softened, 5 to 10 minutes. Add steak to onion and pour beef stock over steak; season with bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover skillet with a lid, and simmer until steak is tender, 50 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Stir peas and cornstarch into steak mixture; cook uncovered until liquid thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 5 minutes; drain. Serve beef mixture over noodles.

Steps:
- Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
- In a bowl, combine the sour cream, milk, and seasoning mix and stir until smooth.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are browned.
- Remove the mushrooms from the skillet. Add the beef and cook stirring to break up the meat until nicely browned. Drain the beef. Add the mushrooms back to the skillet. Add the noodles,sour cream mixture, and cheese to the skillet and stir until the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.

CHILDREN: Put the honey, soy sauce, hoisin and garlic sauce, lime zest and juice into a large bowl and mix together. Set aside.
Heat half the oil in a large pan or wok. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and transfer to the bowl with the sauce. Discard any juices left in the pan and wipe it clean with kitchen towel.
Heat the remaining oil in the same pan, then add half the spring onion and the chilli. Stir-fry for 1 minute, then add the cashew nuts and peppers and cook for a further 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the instructions on the packet. Tip the beef and sauce into the pan with the pepper mixture and heat gently for 1 minute. Serve with the rice noodles and garnish with the remaining spring onion.
