BANANA SOUR CREAM BREAD RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
I know, you're probably thinking, 'Oh no! Another banana bread recipe!' But this one is a little different: the sour cream makes this one so moist it melts in your mouth. The flavor is just wonderful! This one is great for gift giving and holidays. Loaves freeze well.

Yield 4 - 7x3 inch loaves

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease four 7x3 inch loaf pans. In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Dust pans lightly with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and 3 cups sugar. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix in salt, baking soda and flour. Stir in nuts. Divide into prepared pans.
- Bake for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

My husband asked me the other day if the Bread maker came with a Sour Dough recipe, it did not. I have tried in the past to prepare a starter and was never able to come up with a winner. I searched on line the other day and found this recipe and it is wonderful! I was a little skeptical because it does not call for a starter, but I believe the sour cream and vinegar do the trick. If you have a bread maker, give it a try and drop me a note and let me know what you think.....Happy baking...

Steps:
- Place all ingredients in the canister, in the order as written in the recipe. * I placed the sour cream in the microwave for 20 seconds to take the chill off. If not you can make the water a little hotter than warm.
- Choose the Basic bread setting, loaf size (one and half pound) crust color (light or medium) Hit start and wait for your kitchen to smell Yummy!!
- When bread is done place on a rack to cool
