The schezwan chilli potatoes is spicy but also a bit tangy and sweet. Usually schezwan sauce is added to make this dish. The recipe is loosely inspired from Sanjeev kapoor's book "Chinese.

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 potatoes
2 tbsp Chopped chilli, garlic and ginger
2 tbsp schezwan sause
as per taste Salt
1 packet Maggi masala
1 tsp black salt
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato catch-up
1/4 cup chopped spring onion
1/4 chopped capsicum
1/4 chopped cabbage
as required Coriander
as required Oil
2 tbsp cornflour

Steps:

  • Firstly chop potatoes as French fries. Wash it properly. Add cornflour, some salt mix well. Fry it in hot oil till it cook inside properly.
  • Take a pan add oil. Now add chopped chilli, ginger, garlic. Add vegetables and saute them properly. Add schezwan sause, chilli sauce.
  • Add salt, black salt and Maggie masala and mix well. Add tomato ketchup and mix well.
  • Add fried potatoes and mix well. Cook properly. Chilli potato is ready to serve hot. Garnish it with spring onion and coriander.

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
5 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1?½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 green onions, sliced diagonally into 1/2 inch pieces
? teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Place the chicken and cornstarch into a bag or bowl, and toss to coat. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces and garlic, stirring constantly until lightly browned. Stir in the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and water. Cover, and cook until the chicken pieces are no longer pink inside, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the green onion, and cayenne pepper, cook uncovered for about 2 more minutes. Serve over white rice.
