SAGE TEA RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Sage Tea Recipe - Food.com image

This description is from Back to Eden, a book written early this century. I do not mean to offend anybody, just quoting what the book says. "It has been said American people would do well if they would use sage instead of tea and coffee. The Chinese make fun of the American people because they buy the expensive tea for their drink and pay a big price for it, while the Chinese buy sage from America for a small price and drink that for their tea, which is a most wonderful remedy. The Chinese know that the sage tea will keep them well, while the tea that we buy from the Chinese makes us sick, is a cause of great nervousness and one of the causes of insanity. Sage tea is very soothing to the nerves, good for stomach troubles, gas, makes an excellent gargle for the throat, will expel worms, stop bleeding of wounds, good for liver and kidney troubles, a good wash for wounds, good hair tonic, fever reducer, and good for circulation. This tea should not be boiled, just steeped." Information came from Back To Eden by Jethro Kloss.

SAGO MILK TEA RECIPE - SIMPLE CHINESE FOOD

Sago Milk Tea recipe - Simple Chinese Food image

Zero failure summer breakfast, low-fat and easy to digest, dieters will not get fat if they eat more. The milk tea brewed today is not our Xinjiang milk tea. We need to change the taste, so we brewed "Sago Milk Tea", which is sweetened, and made a self-made breakfast with sago (that is, taro balls) and black tea milk. , The method is very simple, mainly the ratio of milk to tea! Doing it a few times will make it easy to master. A good milk tea must have a milky milk flavour and a strong black tea flavour. It is better to use Fuzhuan tea or black tea with strong tea flavour, such as Lapsang Souchong or Pu'er. I directly added Fuzhuan tea. This black tea has a strong, long-lasting fragrance and tastes refreshing. The main reason is that it takes a little time to boil the sago. You can boil more at a time and keep it in the refrigerator. Add a little bit of milk tea each time. It is especially convenient, especially for those who like to drink sweet milk tea. The best choice.

Provided by Tianshan Cocoa

Total Time 30 minutes

Yield 2

Number Of Ingredients 5

300 grams milk
10gram black tea
20 grams Sago
Right amount Shimizu
Right amount Sugar

Steps:

  • Cook the sago first, add half a pot of water to the small milk pot, boil, add the sago and cook for 10 minutes, opening the lid from time to time and stirring. When the time is up, turn off the heat and do not open the lid. Simmer for 20 minutes. After opening the lid, you can see that there are white hearts in the middle of the sago. Let the sago pass cold water once. Such a strong Q bomb.

  • The sago is hard to cook. You have to boil it in the pot a second time. Add water to the pot and boil again. Pour the sago and cook for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • When the time is up, the state of the sago is already transparent, indicating that the sago is ripe. Take the sago out and put it in cold water again for later use. You can cook more each time and keep it in the refrigerator. When you make milk tea again, you don't have to cook it, which is much more convenient.
  • Add clean water to the water purifier, install the filter element in the health pot, and add black tea inside, so that the tea will be filtered directly. When the power is turned on, select the water injection function and black tea. When the filtered water enters the health pot, it will automatically Stop water injection.
The health-preserving pot will automatically make tea, and the function will automatically end when the time is up. The water can be boiled in about a few minutes.
  • After boiling, you can cool for a while according to your taste. Pour the brewed black tea directly into the cup. Don’t need too much, just half a cup or less, then add some sugar while it’s hot and stir to melt.
  • Put the boiled sago directly into it and stir evenly. It is a milk tea with a strong milky flavor. The sago Q bomb is uniquely chewy, accompanied by the milky flavor of black tea. It is more affordable than the outside selling, especially in summer. One cup, full of flavor, economical and affordable. In summer, in the milk tea shop outside, a cup costs more than ten yuan. You can make it at home. It is affordable and delicious. Sago can be cooked a little more at a time. It can be stored in the refrigerator for about two days. Remember to drain the water for storage. .
