TOP SECRET RECIPES | LONE STAR STEAKHOUSE BAKED SWEET POTATO
Sweet potatoes are not related to the more common russet potatoes and are often confused with yams in the grocery store and on menus (the yam is actually starchier and less flavorful). Just be sure you're buying sweet potatoes when you get to the produce section—even the produce stockers get mixed up. Bake these up, and when you spoon on some butter and sprinkle cinnamon/sugar over the top, you've got a treat that tastes more like dessert than a side dish. POTATO AND HAM BONE SOUP RECIPE : TASTE OF SOUTHERN
Cold days of winter call for a soul warming soup. This potato soup is easy to make with russet potatoes and a leftover ham bone. Perfect meal for a cold evening.

Number Of Ingredients 9
Steps:
- Dice the carrot.
- Dice the celery stalks.
- Dice the onion.
- Heat heavy stock pot over Medium heat.
- Add the butter.
- Add onions, carrots, celery
- Stir and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Add ham bone.
- Add water.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove ham bone. Set aside. Remove meat when cooled.
- Cube the potatoes into about 1 inch pieces.
- Add potatoes to pot. Cook about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Remove about half of the potatoes. Set aside.
- Add the milk.
- Use an Immersion Blender to puree potatoes left in the pot.
- Add potato pieces and ham meat back to pot. Stir well.
- Add salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve warm.
- Enjoy!

Menu Description: "Our famous Big Boy soups and chili are made fresh daily from fresh vegetables, pure cream and only the finest ingredients." In 1936, Bob Wian had to make the painful decision to sell his cherished 1933 DeSoto roadster to buy a ten-stool lunch counter from a pair of elderly ladies in Glendale, California. I first designed this recipe using frozen broccoli, but the frozen stuff just isn't as tasty as a big bunch of firm, fresh broccoli. So go shopping, and get chopping.
