1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon A.1. Original Sauce
1 tablespoon corn oil
1 cup low sodium beef broth
1 teaspoon Heinz 57 steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 1/2-2 lbs ground round

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except ground round.
  • Shape ground round into patties, 3/4" thick.
  • Place in a covered container and pour the marinade mixture over them.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight, turning patties frequently.
  • Remove from marinade and sear over high heat to seal in the juices.

¾ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup ketchup
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1?½ teaspoons onion powder
1?½ teaspoons garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 pounds 80% lean ground beef
8 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Steps:

  • In an extra-large bowl combine Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add ground beef. Using your hands, mix thoroughly until just combined. (Overworking the meat will make it tough.) Divide evenly into eight 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick patties. Arrange in a baking pan. Cover; chill 30 minutes to 24 hours to let meat marinate.
  • Press center of each patty to form a dimple, which keeps the patties from bulging in the center. Grill on rack of a covered grill directly over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until medium doneness (160°F), turning once. Serve in toasted buns.

I have made these on a gas grill and on a Foreman grill and they were great both ways. This is also great with smoked Gouda cheese in place of the provolone. Prep time does not include the 15 minutes marinating time.
