Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce - Let's Dish Recipes image

This traditional Thanksgiving cranberry sauce is a must have side dish at your holiday meal. Made from fresh whole cranberries with a hint of orange flavor.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (12 ounce) package cranberries
1 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Combine orange juice and sugar in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Add cranberries, cinnamon and orange zest and return to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and boil gently for about 10 minutes, or until cranberries begin to pop. Cool completely at room temperature then refrigerate until serving.

Cranberry Sauce Recipe - McCormick image

Fresh, tart berries paired with a touch of warm cinnamon and sweet vanilla make our cranberry sauce recipe a delicious, homemade addition to any fall feast. This side is a traditional Thanksgiving must-have that’s perfect served alongside slow cooker turkey breast and garlic mashed potatoes for a classic spread. For a tasty dessert, finish off with a sweet potato pie.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 package (12 ounces) fresh cranberries rinsed and drained
1/2 tsp McCormick® Cinnamon, Ground
1/2 tsp grated orange peel (optional)
1/2 tsp McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

Steps:

  • Mix sugar and water in medium saucepan. Bring to boil on medium-high heat. Add cranberries, cinnamon and orange peel; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 minutes or until cranberries burst and sauce begins to thicken, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Cool to room temperature. Cover.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Sprinkle on chopped pecans, then sprinkle on 2/3 cup sugar.  In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, melted butter, eggs, almond extract, and salt. Stir gently to combine.  Pour batter slowly over the top in large "ribbons" in order to evenly cover the surface. Spread gently if necessary.  Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. 5 minutes before removing from oven, sprinkle surface with 1 tablespoon sugar for a little extra crunch.  Cut into wedges and serve with ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
