It was in that same year that McDonald's served its one billionth hamburger in grand fashion on The Art Linkletter Show. Ronald McDonald also made his debut that year in Washington, D.C., and the Fillet-O-Fish sandwich was introduced as the first new menu addition since the restaurant chain opened in 1948. OVEN ROASTED SCALLOPS | JUST A PINCH RECIPES
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Rinse scallops, and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Combine egg and water in a bowl; stir well. Combine breadcrumbs, salt, and fennel seeds, if desired. Dip each scallop into egg mixture; dredge in breadcrumb mixture. Place scallops on a lightly greased 10x15 inch rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle scallops with melted butter and lemon juice. Bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until scallops are golden. - 1. Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven set over medium heat until hot. Add the fennel, onion, and a pinch of salt, sweating until softened, 6-8 minutes. 2. Add the garlic, fennel seeds, and crushed red pepper; cook and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. 3. Stir in the tomatoes (and their juice), stock, wine, and some salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer; cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. 4.
