This hearty casserole makes enough for a hungry crowd. Don't worry, though - there won't be any leftovers to put way.

Yield 12 servings

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 package (16 ounces) uncooked mostaccioli or ziti
1 cup chopped onion
1 pound lean (90%) ground beef
3 garlic cloves, pressed
2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning Mix
1 jar (48 ounces) spaghetti sauce
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 egg
1 container (15 ounces) part-skim ricotta cheese
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup snipped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese, divided
Additional snipped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta according to package directions in Dutch (6-qt.) Oven; drain.Meanwhile, chop onion using Food Chopper. Place onion, ground beef and garlic pressed with Garlic Press in (12-in.) Skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Remove from heat; drain. Sprinkle with seasoning mix. Stir in sauce and tomatoes. In Small Batter Bowl, lightly beat egg with Stainless Whisk. Add ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheee, parsley and black pepper. Grate Parmesan cheese using Rotary Grater; set aside 1/4 cup. Stir remaining Parmesan cheese into ricotta mixture.To assemble casserole, place cooked pasta in Stoneware Baking Bowl. Add 6 cups of the meat sauce; mix well. Spread ricotta mixture evenly over pasta. Top with remaining meat sauce. Bake 1 hour. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Continue baking 10 minutes or until bubbly. Garnish with additional parsley.

6 cups (1.5 L) chilled cranberry juice cocktail
4 cups (1 L) chilled ginger ale
1 can (12 oz/355 mL) frozen orange-pineapple juice concentrate, thawed
1 orange

Steps:

  • Place the cranberry juice cocktail, ginger ale, and orange-pineapple juice concentrate in the Trifle Bowl. Cut the orange into slices using a Utility Knife. Place the slices into the bowl.Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Place the chicken thighs on a sheet pan and brush both sides with the oil mixture.Combine 2 tbsp (30 mL) oil and 1 tsp (5 mL) of the Seasoning Salt in a medium bowl; add the potatoes and toss, coating thoroughly. Place the potatoes in a single layer on the same sheet as the chicken. Bake the chicken and potatoes for 20 minutes. TIP: If you like crunchier potatoes, you can use diced potatoes or hash browns.Meanwhile, toss the green beans with 1 tsp (5 mL) oil and the remaining 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) Seasoning Salt on a separate sheet pan.For the topping, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and olive oil in a small bowl.After 20 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the chicken with the breadcrumb mixture and flip the potatoes. Return the chicken and potatoes to the oven along with the green beans and continue cooking for 10 more minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and the potatoes are tender. TIP: Chicken thighs retain a lot of moisture. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving!
