Make the perfect light and crispy waffles without any milk!

6 tbsp melted and cooled butter
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
2 large eggs at room temperature
1? cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cup of water
Optional: fresh berries, sauce, melted chocolate, peanut butter, sugar for toppings

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract, and mix until thoroughly combined and smooth.
  • Then, add the flour and baking powder and mix.
  • Next, pour in the water, and stir until the mixture is once again smooth.
  • Then, preheat the waffle iron, and pour ½ cup of the batter onto the waffle iron.
  • Close your waffle iron and cook in reference to the specific manufacturer instructions.
  • Serve up waffles warm with optional toppings.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 eggs
1?½ cups warm milk
? cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the milk, butter and vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; beat until blended.
  • Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
