8 oz regular or gluten-free, uncooked elbow macaroni
1 tsp olive oil
1¼ lbs ground beef
1 chopped small onion
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp pepper
29 oz tomato sauce
2 tbsp or to taste chili powder

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  • Drain the cooked pasta and return to the pot. Add the beef, tomato sauce, and chili powder and stir together.
  • Return the pot to the stove over medium heat until heated through. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Serve and enjoy.

This is a simple and delicious recipe for homemade Beefaroni.

Ground beef – 1 lb
Cheddar cheese – 2 cups, shredded
Tomato sauce – 2 15-oz cans
Butter – 2 tbsps
Elbow macaroni – 16 oz, uncooked
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste

Steps:

  • While pre-heating oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas Mark 4, cooked crumbled beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until there are no more pink bits. Drain excess liquid. Meanwhile, fill a large pot with water, lightly salt it, and bring to boil. Cook macaroni until well done; drain, add butter, toss and stir until the butter is melted and the macaroni evenly coated. Transfer buttered macaroni to a casserole dish; add ground beef, cheese and tomato sauce, mix to combine. Season on top with salt and pepper. Bake without cover for about 20 minutes or until the casserole is well heated through and the cheese melted and bubbly.
