- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix butter and seasonings. Add sweet potatoes and toss to coat., Wrap 1 piece bacon around each sweet potato cube; secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Place on a parchment-lined 15x10x1-in. baking pan., Bake until bacon is crisp and sweet potato is tender, 40-45 minutes. Serve with maple syrup.

- Cut bacon strips into thirds; wrap a strip around each water chestnut and secure with a wooden toothpick. Place in an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 375° until bacon is crisp, 25 minutes. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine ketchup and brown sugar; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar has dissolved. Remove chestnuts to paper towels; drain. Dip in ketchup mixture; place in a lightly greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Spoon remaining sauce over chestnuts. Return to the oven for 10 minutes.

May 03, 2016 · 400F is very hot - 200C for us. I cooked it on 180C as 200C with a fan oven is very hot. Everybody's oven is different too. I also have an oven thermometer to make sure it is at the right temperature before I put anything into a fan oven. My bacon and everything came out perfect. I used streaky bacon as is normal in Britain, not thick back bacon.
