Ingredients

4 6-ounce white fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod or whitefish )
1/4 cup butter (unsalted, softened)
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons minced herbs (such as parsley, oregano, basil)
1 lemon (zested and thinly sliced)

Steps:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl mix together softened butter with garlic, salt, pepper, minced herbs and lemon zest.
Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and place fish fillets in a single layer.
Brush butter mixture evenly on top of fish then top with lemon slices.
Bake until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 15-20 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb white fish fillets
2/3 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp oil

Steps:

Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Put the fish on the frying pan so the fillets are not touching each other. Sprinkle with 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp of pepper.
Cook the white fish for 3 minutes, then flip the fish fillets to the other side and sprinkle with another 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Cook for 2 minutes (or until the fish is cooked - opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork).
Remove the white fish from the frying pan and serve.
