1 (200 g) Toblerone chocolate bars, roughly chopped
1/4 cup water
3 teaspoons gelatin
1 1/2 tablespoons hot water
250 ml cream, whipped (extra for topping)
strawberry (for decoration)

Steps:

  • Place chocolate and water into a heatproof bowl.
  • Place over a bowl of simmering water.
  • Stir until chocolate melts.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Allow to slowly cool down to room temperature.
  • Combine the gelatine and hot water.
  • Stir over simmering water until the gelatine dissolves.
  • Stir into chocolate mixture.
  • Gently fold whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  • Spoon into serving dishes.
  • Chill 2-3 hours or until firm.
  • Top with extra cream and a sliced strawberry.

2/3 cup heavy cream
4 (3 1/3 ounce) Toblerone chocolate bars, finely chopped
1 tablespoon cognac or 1 tablespoon Frangelico

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the cream to a simmer.
  • Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate.
  • Let stand long enough for the chocolate to begin to melt, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the liqueur and whisk until smooth.
  • Transfer mixture to a ceramic fondue pot or chafing dish and keep warm.
  • Serve with dipping ingredients such as pound cake, angel food cake, strawberries, sliced peaches, or bananas.

  • Preheat oven to 180ºC (160ºC Fan) oven and line a 20 x 20cm tin with butter and baking parchment. Place a medium frying pan over medium heat, and toast the almonds for three minutes. Let them cool slightly and then roughly chop and set aside. In a saucepan melt the butter over low heat, then add the sugar, and chopped white chocolate and stir with a wooden spoon and beat until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl, and allow to cool briefly, then add the eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth. Next add the flour, cornflour, and salt to the bowl and beat slightly. Add the toasted nuts and Toblerone chunks then fold together to form a smooth thick batter. Pour into the lined baking tin, and evenly distribute the chunks of Toblerone onto the top of the batter.  Bake for 30 min until there is a slight wobble in the mixture. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 20 minutes. Decorate with the melted chocolate as desired.  Once the blondies have set, cut into 16 equal pieces and enjoy.
