Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pounds ground beef
2 cans (12 ounces each) home-style beef gravy
2 cups frozen corn
2 cups frozen peas and carrots
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS (for each casserole):
2 to 3 cups mashed potatoes
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Paprika

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the gravy, vegetables and onion. Spoon half into a greased 2-qt. baking dish or four oven-safe 2-cup dishes. Top with mashed potatoes. Drizzle with butter and sprinkle with paprika. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Place the remaining beef mixture in a freezer container and freeze for up to 3 months. , To prepare frozen casserole: Thaw in the refrigerator; transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Top with the potatoes, butter and paprika; bake as directed.

When I first saw the name of this dish, I couldn't imagine what ingredients it was made with. A closer look revealed that it was quite simple. It usually uses lamb or beef as the filling, I use pork instead. It is topped with mashed potatoes and baked. It is a traditional British dish that can be used as both a dish and a meal. I made a few changes, it is really fragrant and very attractive.

Number Of Ingredients 12

300 grams Mashed potatoes
80 grams Sweet corn kernels
2 pcs tomato
100 g Pork filling
1 tbsp Cooking oil
3 teaspoons salt
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp Cooking wine
2 tbsp ketchup
2 teaspoons pepper
Half onion
3 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Add milk, salt and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well
  • Prepare the rest of the ingredients, marinate the minced meat with cooking wine and salt
  • Diced onions and tomatoes
  • Stir fragrant onions in a frying pan
  • Add minced meat and stir fry
  • Add tomatoes when the minced meat changes color
  • Put ketchup and a little soy sauce, put it in boiling water and bring to a boil, then change to low heat
  • After the tomatoes are all crumbled, add corn kernels and salt to taste
  • Big fire harvest juice
  • Put in the bottom of the baking bowl
  • Spread mashed potatoes on top, spread a little thicker, compact, and use a fork to mark the surface
  • Preheat the oven, 200 degrees for 30 minutes, bake until the surface is golden
