Sauted Shimeji Mushrooms

1 punnet shimeji mushrooms
4 tablespoon garlic butter
Pinch salt
Pinch pepper
Pinch ground green chilli
Dash lemon juice.

Steps:

  • Melt butter, add mushrooms and other ingredients and toss. Saute till heads of mushrooms darken. Remove from heat and serve.

100g Shimeji mushrooms (separated)
1 small onion (sliced)
1 tbsp sesame oil
½ cup water
½ tbsp soy sauce
½ tbsp mirin
Spring onion (to garnish)

Steps:

  • To Cook In a pan over medium heat, add in the oil and the mushrooms and cook until they have softened and browned slightly. Add in the onions and continue to cook until the onions become translucent. Add in the water, soy sauce and mirin and bring the mixture to a boil before reducing to a simmer and allowing to cook for about 10 mins. Remove the pan from the fire, plate and serve or store as a side dish!
