I've looked all over the net and haven't found a shrimp ceviche quite like this one! My friends absolutely love it and beg me for the recipe! You can always double it for larger parties--it goes FAST! Serve as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping on a tostada spread with mayo. The fearless palate might like this with hot sauce.

Cook Time 10 minutes

Yield 7 cups

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup fresh lime juice
10 plum tomatoes, diced
1 large yellow onion, diced

SHRIMP CEVICHE RECIPE | EATINGWELL
Traditional ceviche recipes consists of raw seafood tossed with an acidic marinade (think: citrus juice or vinegar) that “cooks” the fish. In this shrimp ceviche recipe, we cook the shrimp before marinating it in lemon, lime and orange juices, plus chiles for some heat. Avocado adds creaminess to help the dish come together. Serve this shrimp ceviche with tostones (fried plantain chips) or tortilla chips. Recipe courtesy of Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.

THE BEST SHRIMP CEVICHE! RECIPE - FOOD.COM
This recipe is the result of many trials of different recipes and techniques. For me this is the perfect shrimp ceviche. I use a precooked shrimp that is about twice the size of a cocktail shrimp. This size of shrimp can be somewhat difficult to find, I purchase mine at Costco in 2lb bags in the frozen section.

  • Thaw shrimp in refrigerator overnight. Squeeze juice from shrimp and place in colander. Rinse shrimp with cold water and squeeze shrimp again to remove excess water. This step is important to remove the "fishy taste", from the shrimp. Repeat this process once more and place shrimp in a medium bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix with a spoon. Dump ceviche into a ziploc bag and place in fridge, turning over the bag every 30 minutes or so to mix ingredients. After marinading for 2-3 hours, drain excess juice from bag and place ceviche back into the medium bowl. Enjoy on top of tostadas or saltine crackers topped with avacado slices. Feel free to double the recipe for potlucks or bbqs.

AVOCADO SHRIMP CEVICHE-ESTILLO SARITA RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
A tried and true ceviche recipe to be enjoyed for a Sunday brunch in our cafe. It is believed by most Latinos that the best time to eat ceviche is on a sunny day. Rainy days cause stomach cramps and nightmares. Of course most Latinos (especially my wife) can make a good ceviche blindfolded on any day rain or shine, in my opinion. Excellent for an appetizer in smaller portions or as a meal itself. Personally I enjoy this with an ice cold beer on the side.
