¼ cup soy sauce
? cup orange marmalade
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 pounds bone-in country style pork ribs

Steps:

  • Combine soy sauce, marmalade, ketchup, rice wine, sesame oil, and garlic in a bowl. Pour half the sauce into a slow cooker; top with ribs. Drizzle with remaining sauce.
  • Cover and cook on Low until pork is tender, about 3 hours. Thicken cooking juices in a small skillet over medium heat, if desired.

1/3 cup orange marmalade
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 pounds bone-in country-style pork ribs

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, marmalade, ketchup and garlic. Pour half into a 5-qt. slow cooker. Top with ribs; drizzle with remaining sauce. , Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender. Thicken cooking juices if desired.

  • Place the spare ribs in a pot of room temperature water. Bring to a simmer over high heat. Skim the surface of the water and simmer for a further 2-3 minutes. Simmer gently for 25 minutes, stirring once or twice. Remove the lid and turn the heat up a little higher. Cook and stir the ribs in the liquid for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce ‘sticks’ to the ribs and the oil starts to separate in the bottom of the pan. Use tongs to transfer the ribs to a plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and the green part of the spring onion. Serve warm.
