Delicious pork chops and stuffing,with yummy gravy. I got this recipe from Home Cooking Magazine years ago from Janice Goff. Everyone who makes this loves them,tasty and tender,too.

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 -6 pork chops
1 box stove top pork stuffing mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup water, mixed with
pork dripping
1/4 cup melted butter

Steps:

  • Brown chops.
  • Remove and add water to the frying pan.
  • Place chops in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • In a bowl,mix the vegetable packet from from the Stove Top mix with 1 cup very hot water and 1/2 stick melted butter.
  • Then add contents of crumb packet.
  • Mix well.
  • For as many chops,make a ball of stuffing and place on top of each chop.
  • Put soup into skillet containing the drippings,mix and pour over the chops and stuffing.
  • Bake uncovered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.

My husband introduced this to me years ago, and my children absolutely love this casserole - they ask for it weekly.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 boneless pork chops
1 (16 ounce) package tater tots
1 (15.5 ounce) can French-style green beans, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
¾ cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, and brown pork chops on both sides. Remove chops, reserving pan dripping.
  • Arrange tater tots in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Layer green beans over the tater tots. Place browned chops over the beans. In a bowl, mix reserved pan drippings, cream of celery soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over chops.
  • Cover dish with foil, and bake casserole 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until pork chops are done.

Keep warm., In the same skillet, cook garlic and thyme in pan drippings over medium heat for 1 minute. Add wine, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. In a small bowl, combine flour and broth until smooth. Gradually add to pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened., Remove toothpicks from pork chops; serve chops with gravy.
