PALM TREE FOOD RECIPES

Steps:

• Drizzle pretzel sticks with melted chocolate and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to harden. Stir green food coloring into melted white chocolate. Pour into a medium Ziploc bag and cut off a corner with scissors. Onto another parchment lined baking sheet, pipe palm tree leaves. Sprinkle with green sprinkles and place three M&M's on the bottom of the leaves. Place in the freezer to harden for 10 minutes. When leaves and trunks have hardened, use a small amount of melted green chocolate to adhere the two pieces. Using a knife, add a dab of chocolate to the back of the palm leaves. Leave the leaves facing down, rest a pretzel on top of the melted chocolate. Repeat with all trees and return to the freezer to harden for 10 more minutes. Serve.

Steps:

• Remove the outer leaves of the lettuce and cut each heart into quarters from top to bottom. Soak in a sink filled with cold water for a few minutes. Split the avocados and remove the stones. Scoop the flesh out with a spoon and chop into large chunks. Cut the palm hearts into chunks of the same size. Using a sharp knife, cut the cheese into small pieces. Whisk together the dressing ingredients with some salt and pepper.
• Drain the lettuce, then tear into bite-sized pieces and divide between four bowls. Pile a quarter of each of the other ingredients on top of each serving. Pass round the dressing and let everyone toss their own salad.
