Calming After Dinner Tea - Recipes to Nourish image

Need to relax after a long day? After dinner is the perfect time to unwind. This soothing Calming After Dinner Herbal Tea helps quiet the mind, calm your body + helps take away the stress of the day.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tablespoon chamomile
1 tablespoon catnip
1 tablespoon fennel seed
1 tablespoon rose hips
1 teaspoon lavender
1 teaspoon spearmint
4 cups filtered water

Steps:

  • Combine all herbs in a medium mixing bowl. Stir to evenly distribute herbs. Store in and airtight glass container {like a mason jar} if you're not making the tea right away.
  • In a medium-size saucepan or tea kettle, bring filtered water to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of the herbal tea to the hot water. COVER and steep for 5-7 minutes {a maximum of 10 minutes}.
  • When the tea is done steeping, strain tea with a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl or glass jar/container.
  • Serve hot with a generous spoonful of honey - if desired.
