Steps:
- Clean, skin, wash and cut chicken into medium sized pieces. Peel, wash and chop onions. Peel, wash and chop ginger. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies. Wash and chop coriander leaves.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and peppercorns. Sauté until cardamoms start to crackle.
- Add onions and cook until translucent and soft. Make sure to stir continuously. Add ginger, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and chopped green chillies. Sauté for a minute.
- Add chicken pieces and beaten yogurt and cook on high heat for seven to eight minutes. Add kasoori methi and three-fourth cup of water.
- Cover the pan and cook on low heat for ten minutes. Add garam masala powder, salt and mix properly. Serve hot garnished with chopped fresh coriander leaves.

METHI CHICKEN - METHI MURG - SIMPLE INDIAN RECIPES
Methi Chicken Curry or Murg Methi is a tasty curry made by cooking bone-in chicken with fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves. This dish is quite easy to prepare and is a twist to the normal chicken curry. It offers all the health benefits of methi leaves in a delicious way.

Steps:
- Take a heavy bottomed pan, heat the oil and splutter the cumin and fennel seeds.
- Add the chopped onions and saute till it turns golden brown.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Fry for a minute till the raw smell vanishes.
- Add the chicken pieces, beaten yogurt and salt. Stir fry for few minutes.
- Add all the dry spice powders (coriander, cumin, red chili, turmeric and fennel powders).
- Add the tomato puree and required water. If you want a dry dish add very little water.
- Cover and cook for about 15 minutes till the oil separates from the masala.
- Finally add the methi leaves and garam masala powder.
- Cook for a minute and switch off.
