my family loved this dessert I decided to share it with you all .. its a different twist on sweet potato's hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 9x9in square pan or springform pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Blend in eggs one at a time. Remove 1 cup of batter and spread into bottom of crust; set aside.
- Add sweet potato puree, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to the remaining batter and stir gently until well blended. Carefully spread over the batter in the graham cracker crust.
- Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until center is almost set. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight. Place whipped topping on top and serve. for an added touch I place candied pecans on top
- Graham Cracker Crust
- 1 1/2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs 1/3 cup white sugar 6 tablespoons butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter and cinnamon until well blended . Press mixture into an 9x9 square pan or springform pan Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7 minutes. Cool.

- Place cookie sheet on oven rack. Heat oven to 350°F. In small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar on low speed until well blended. Add egg; beat well. Stir in orange peel. Set aside.
- Place sweet potatoes in food processor; cover and process until smooth. In large bowl, beat sweet potato layer ingredients with wire whisk. Spread cream cheese mixture in frozen pie crust. Carefully spoon sweet potato mixture over cream cheese mixture.
- Bake on cookie sheet 50 to 60 minutes or until set and knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes. Refrigerate until chilled, 3 to 4 hours.
- Serve pie with sweetened whipped cream. Store covered in refrigerator.

As I made my Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Pie, I had a bit of the filling left over, & decided to make the cream cheese filling from the recipe on the back of the crust. I had made a Cream Cheese Pumpkin Base pie years ago, so why not with sweet potatoes , especially when there was not enough filling to fill the entire pan. Adding the Cream cheese to the base of the pie was the perfect solution.
My daughter especially loved this first time pie. To distinguish the difference between the two pies, I added pecan halves to the plain one, they were both delicious & everyone love them. TRY IT
