Strawberry Vinegar Recipe: How to Make It image

This recipe a wonderful start to a vinaigrette. It is so easy to infuse the vinegar with the strawberries and it tastes wonderful.—Marilyn Nash, Orange City, Florida

Number Of Ingredients 3

Whole strawberries
Vinegar
Sugar

Steps:

  • Fill a large jar with rinsed strawberries (do not hull). Cover with vinegar and seal. Refrigerate for 10 days. Strain and measure vinegar; discard berries. For each pint of vinegar, add 3 cups of sugar. Bring mixture to a boil; boil 2 minutes. Cool. Pour into sterile bottles or jars; seal.
