Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups organic half-and-half
1 cup organic heavy cream
1/2 cup organic sugar
1 cup organic rose buds or petals
1 tsp organic rose water
1 organic vanilla bean, split and scraped

Steps:

  • Combine half-and-half, cream, sugar, scraped vanilla bean pulp, rose buds, and vanilla bean pod in a large saucepan.
  • Place over medium heat.
  • Stir occasionally until the mixture just barely begins to simmer. Do not boil!
  • Remove the mixture from heat immediately and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • Strain out the rose buds and vanilla bean pod.
  • Pour mixture into a lidded container.
  • Refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to develop.
  • Whisk in the rose water and pour mixture into an ice cream maker to freeze as directed.
  • Once semi-solid, spoon the mixture back into a lidded container and harden in the freezer for at least one hour before serving.

- sundae glass
- small white pebbles or glass gems
- floral foam
4 - (2 different colors) (2 different colors) carnations or peonies of your choice
- bendable plastic straw or long silver spoon

Steps:

  • Fill 1/4 of the bottom of an ice cream sundae glass with small white decor items, such as glass gems or pebbles.
  • Soak a 2-by-2-inch square of floral foam in cool water. Nestle the foam into the gems or pebbles.
  • Cut the stems of two (your color) and two (your color) carnations or peonies to two inches in length. Insert the stems into the soaked floral foam, so that the blooms rest on top of the glass like scoops of vanilla and strawberry ice cream.
  • Fill the rest of the glass up with the glass gems or pebbles. Arrange the decor items around the foam to hide it.
  • Insert a bendable plastic straw or a long silver spoon into the sundae glass to complete the craft.
