So easy your kids can make them, in fact this recipes was developed by a kid of our own and he loves them.

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 sticks mozzarella string cheese, plastic wrapping removed 
2 eggs, beaten 
1 cup all-purpose flour 
2 cups flavored bread crumbs 
Cooking spray 
Marinara sauce, for dipping 

Steps:

  • 1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.  2. Prepare a dredge station: place eggs in one plate, flour in a second plate, and bread crumbs in a third plate.  3. Dip string cheese into flour, then eggs, then bread crumbs and place on parchment lined baking tray. Repeat until all cheese sticks are coated.  4. Place baking tray in freezer for 20 minutes.  5. Preheat oven to 400°F.  6. Remove tray from freezer and spray sticks with cooking spray.  7. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. Flip cheese sticks over and bake for 5 minutes more.  8. Remove from baking tray and serve immediately with marinara sauce.

cooking spray
8 toothpicks
4 reduced-fat mozzarella string cheese sticks, halved
1 egg
¾ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat a toaster oven on broil setting, or set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Spray a small baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Insert toothpick vertically into each cheese stick half to mid-way point. Beat egg in a small bowl. Place bread crumbs in a separate small bowl.
  • Dip each cheese stick into egg, then press into bread crumbs. Repeat dipping in egg and breadcrumbs for a double-thick coating. Place cheese sticks on prepared baking sheet and spray with additional cooking spray for uniform browning.
  • Broil in preheated oven until golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Allow cheese sticks to set before serving, about 1 minute.
