HERSHEY'S CHERRY CORDIAL KISSES COOKIES RECIPES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a mixing bowl beat butter for 30 seconds on med-high speed. Add powdered sugar and salt beating until combined (scrape sides of bowl). Beat in the cherry liquid and almond extract. Beat in as much flour as you can then use a spoon to mix any remaining flour and the chopped cherries.
• Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Using the bottom of a glass dipped in granulated sugar, flatten the balls until they are about 1/2 inch thick. Bake 14 minutes or until bottoms are light brown. Right away place a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie then transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Place rack in the center most position of the oven.
• In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cocoa powder. Whisk until combined. Set aside.
• Fit your stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Add the butter to the bowl and beat on medium speed for 1 minute.
• Reduce speed to low, add the powdered sugar, and stir until mixed. Scrape down the sides with a spatula if necessary.
• Add the cherry "juice" and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
• With the mixer still on low, add the flour mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing in between additions and scraping the sides of the both with a spatula as needed.
• Add the chopped maraschino cherries and stir until evenly incorporated into the dough.
• Transfer the dough to the refrigerator and chill for 15-20 minutes.
• Shape the dough into 36 one-inch balls. If the dough feels sticky, slightly wet hands will help with rolling the balls. Slightly flatten the rounded ball using the palms of your hands.
• Dip both sides of the cookie into the coarse organic whole cane sugar.
• Place the balls on parchment lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
• With your thumb or the back of a greased round 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon, press into the center of the dough.
• Bake cookies at 325 degrees F for 10 - 15 minutes.
• Remove cookies from the oven and immediately place a Hershey's Kiss in the center of each cookie.
• Transfer cookies to a wire rack and cool.
