1 (3 1/2 ounce) package french instant vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whipped topping, divided
40 vanilla wafers, divided
2 bananas, sliced, divided
1/4 cup caramel topping

Steps:

In a medium bowl combine pudding mix, milk and vanilla. With electric mixer, beat 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
Add 1 cup whipped topping.
In a 1 1/2 quart round dish layer half of wafers, bananas and pudding.
Drizzle with topping.
Repeat layers, ending with pudding.
Top with remaining 1/2 cup of whipped topping.
Sprinkle with 3 crushed cookies, if desired.

This is the best banana pudding ever, thats what i am told over and over and i just chuckle cause its soooo easy. made three of these over the weekend and my daughters coworkers devoured one and asked for more, the family ate one and some friends who dropped in demolished the third. So easy but so full of yummy goodness!

- 1 small box of jello banana instant pudding and ingredients to make it.
- 1-8oz tub of cool whip whipped topping
- 1 box nilla wafers (i wont substitute brand)
- about 4 bananas cut in slices

Steps:

Prepare pudding according to package. And let sit for the two minutes.
Line bottom and sides of a 9 X 9 glass pan with Nilla wafers.
To the banana pudding bowl, fold in 1/2 tub of cool whip whipped topping. Fold until completely blended.
Pour 1/2 the pudding mix over the nilla wafers.
Lay rows of banana slices over this.
Place nilla wafers in between bananas, then top all this with remaining pudding.
Make rows of nilla wafers and bananas by alternating wafer, banana, wafer banana.
Top the banana slices with dollops of remaining cool whip.
Refrigerate several hours before serving

Cover the bottom of a 3-quart trifle dish with vanilla wafers. Top with one-third of the pudding mixture. Cover with another layer of the wafer cookies—you may want to also stand some cookies up vertically, so you see the full circle along the edge of the trifle dish. Top with an even layer of banana slices. Continue layering the pudding, wafer cookies and banana slices until you reach the top, ending with a final layer of banana pudding. In a large saucepan, mix sugar, flour and salt. Whisk in milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat to low; cook and stir 2 minutes longer.
