Steps:
- To prepare Drawn Butter: In a small pot, heat 2 cups water. Melt butter in the hot water. Remove pot from the heat and allow cooling slightly. Refrigerate and allow chilling. Drawn butter is ready.
- Preheat oven to 425 F (220 C).
- Separate crab legs into segments. With kitchen shears, cut the shell of the leg segments in halves lengthwise making a small trough in which to present the meat. Place the crab meat segments into the shell halves and baste with drawn butter.
- Roast in preheated oven for 5-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove roasted crab legs from the oven and serve immediately.

- Melt the butter in the top of a double boiler over just-barely simmering water, 5 to 7 minutes. Set the melted butter aside to cool slightly, then skim the foam off the top and discard. Allow the butter to solidify overnight. Drain off any liquid that collects at the bottom. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl, and pour into individual bowls before serving.
