Cranberry Fruit Relish Recipe: How to Make It image

Rich color, a perky texture and tongue-tingling flavor make this relish a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Number Of Ingredients 7

3-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1 medium navel orange, peeled and sectioned
1 medium apple, cored and cut into wedges
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Pulse cranberries, orange and apple in a blender or food processor until chopped. Remove to a bowl; stir in remaining ingredients. Refrigerate, covered, at least 2 hours.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 large orange
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
2 (10-ounce) packages fresh cranberries

Steps:

  • Grate orange rind, and place in a food processor. Peel and section orange over the bowl of food processor. Add orange sections, sugar, and cranberries to processor; process until coarsely chopped. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 day.

This is a very refreshing recipe I have used for years. It comes from the bag of Ocean Spray Cranberries bought in the grocery store. This time of year cranberries are plentiful where I live (in fact I have a huge bag 21 pounds in the refrigerator) so right now I try to give new recipes a try before the fresh ones have to go into the freezer.
